Description – 
The Villanovan Shield is a great museum replica made by our team using hand tools and some machinery. The shield belongs to the Etruscan Era of the 6th century. Given the size of the shield and the rarity of metal shields in the archaeological world, it can be assumed that the shield was primarily used for rituals. The embossing design on this shield (and other historical examples from that period) shows cultural symbols like figurines and other ritualistic shapes. In today’s context, the shield can be used as a great home decor element.

The Villanovan Shield is made of 1mm thick brass metal. The shield is embossed using hand and machine tools. The shield boss is attached to the shield using 8 ball head brass rivets. The interior side of the shield boss has a leather edging to protect the user’s wrist. The Villanovan Shield is suitable for reenactment as well as a culturally rich home decor item.
