The Xiphos Sword was one of the most prominently used weapons by the Greek hoplites. The Xiphos is a short sword, two-edged, and has a leaf-shaped blade. The historical references of this sword are seen on Greek pottery remains and other imagery. It is evident from the historical findings that the hilt of the sword was made of organic material while the cross-guard was made of iron. There is some debate that the original blade of the sword might also be made of bronze like other historical Greek weapons but the use of steel is more relevant. Our replica of the Xiphos sword has a wooden pommel and handle while the cross guard is made of steel.

A good reproduction for the price. The blade is well made, but on the heavy side. The staff is flexible and reshaped the scabbard to my specifications. Only downside, the scabbard is a bit too tight, but at least you won't loose your Xiphos.

Beautiful piece of art for the price, very good craftmanship, perfect size compare to the original artifacts. The weight and balance also very pleasant, plus tight scabbard with wooden core. I'm nice surprised 👍

  1. This was quite a surprise, honestly.
Nimble, sturdy and light, honestly even compared to their kopis (which is excelent) it’s a great sword!

  2. The xiphos is great quality, especially for the price. It’s well balanced and while a bit too heavy the weight is still correct.
Scabbard has a wooden core and is not too tight. And easily customisable.
    Great product !
