The Three-Finger Anatomical Greaves are made of 1mm thick sheet metal and are padded with foam on the inside. They have foam-based padding on the inside, covered with thin goat leather. The edge of the Three-Finger Anatomical Greaves has a goat leather edging for protection against scratches. The padding and the leather edging also provide a good fit for the greaves as they snugly stick to the user’s legs. There are no rings attached to the pair; people use thongs/laces for these greaves.

Great Value Anatomical Greaves!
I am very pleased with these brass anatomical greaves from Al Hamdd, especially for the price of about $190—a true bargain compared to high-end armorers. The craftsmanship is excellent, with well-defined, accurate shaping of the kneecap, shin, and calf muscle that looks perfect for historical reenactment. They feel solid and have a comfortable leather lining. The authentic spring-clamp design, which requires no straps, is a cool and functional historical touch. However, it’s important to understand this design means they do not fully wrap around the calf; they are open at the back. Sizing required careful measurement, and getting a snug, proper fit was a bit tricky. The seller himself was fantastic—very communicative and helpful throughout. The greaves arrived extremely well-packaged and undamaged. The only notable issue was with the delivery carrier; shipping took longer than anticipated, and I had to personally contact UPS and sign a power of attorney to finalize delivery, which was an unexpected hassle. Overall, for a reenactor seeking great value and historical appearance over bespoke perfection, these greaves from Al Hamdd are an excellent choice. Just be precise with your measurements and prepared for the unique clamp-on fit.
These are my first pair of greaves so I have no reference, besides ones I’ve handled before. I am very happy with the craftmanship. I ordered the custom fitted bronze with uncolored leather (later dying the leather myself) and the outcome is great. There was a small mix up with the making on the greaves, as the craftsman made the wrong style initially, but the communication and customer service throughout the whole process was perfect and everything got sorted out! I did have to mold the greaves slightly myself but it is easily done if they are delivered slightly too loose. Definitely recommend for a beautiful pair of greaves with perfect customer service and a great price.
These are honestly the best greaves I’ve ever worn, fit like a glove, don’t slip even if I kick my legs around, comfortable and honestly stunning! The times of production were fast (since I ordered the broze variant they had to be done on order). All in all a great quality product!
