Some specifications of the product –
The replica of the Xiphos Sword is made out of 6mm thick high carbon steel and the edges are hammered down to 2.5mm in thickness. The handle and the pommel are wood, while the cross-guard is polished cast iron. There is a washer in the middle of the tang and the pommel to protect the wooden surface. The replica scabbard of the Xiphos Sword is made of engineered wood, covered in goat leather. There are wooden fittings on the neck and toe of the scabbard.
The original blade artifact is on display in the British Museum by the name of Short Sword (Xiphos type)

I asked Alhamdd if it would be possible to get a custom scabbard that would fit the color combination or style that I was going for with my hoplite panoply in this case Athenian Blue and White. I used chatGPT to reimagine the scabbard and sent it to them and they delivered above and beyond. This is one of if not the most increadible customer service I have ever encountered with gracious patience, precision and communication. When I recieved the blade I found it to be among the most high quality swords I’ve ever had(in terms of replicas), it is sturdy and beautiful. the handle is very well made and fits my hand perfectly. If you are in the market for a 10/10 Historical replica with no flaws WHAT SO EVER, then I would say being honest that there are just the tiniest things to note in my case. the handle has a maybe less than a millimeter gap between the handle and guard and the blade has a slight and I do mean the tiniest slight in the world in, points where it narrows in instead of following a curve but it is only visible at a straight forward looking angel. I am incredibly with the quality, service and look of this product and the Scabbard is SMOOTH, i mean it is near perfect, it holds the blade with no wiggling room, it is not too tight which is the case for other replica blades being a struggle to unsheathe but here this problem is non existent. For the price, quality and Service I give Alhamdd a well deserved 5/5 stars
Excellent sword for the price. Photos I’ve posted are after I added tassels and a rope but the scabbard is plenty good enough as it is for reenacting. It’s certainly at the limit when it comes to size for a xiphos and the weight is very much on the heavy side so sparring may not be ideal (if you’re brave enough to spar with a steel sword). Overall, my purposes are 95% just for show so the heavy weight is little concern for me. If you’re looking for an affordable show piece that is near enough usable out of the box then for that it’s fantastic!

Nimble, sturdy and light, honestly even compared to their kopis (which is excelent) it’s a great sword!
The xiphos is great quality, especially for the price. It’s well balanced and while a bit too heavy the weight is still correct.
Scabbard has a wooden core and is not too tight. And easily customisable.

A good reproduction for the price. The blade is well made, but on the heavy side. The staff is flexible and reshaped the scabbard to my specifications.
Only downside, the scabbard is a bit too tight, but at least you won’t loose your Xiphos.
