Fantastic sword for this price range. Very comfortable to use, comfortable grip, good weight and balance for a sword from this time period and history that is battle ready for reenactment.
This is a very impressive copy of a late Roman ‘Gold Grip’ Spatha of the later fifth century AD. The detail of the hilt and the scabbard are both very good , especially for the price. Grip has nice dark horn components. Scabbard has nice detail near the mouth and chape. Blade is a bit heavy, could be ground down somewhat thinner, but the shape and fuller are correct. Very nice sword.
